Question about Direct TV?

I have Qwest Choice cable TV service, I read a lot offers for Direct TV such as 200+ channels at certain amount etc.almost same price what I pay for Qwest, I like to ask your advice if switching is worth,
Also what could be the hidden costs for ordering DirectTV ? what are the PRO-s and Cons

I live in a rural area so don’t have any experience with cable.

What do you mean "function"? is that even a word? TiVo will work with DIRECTV is only a pain in the $ a $. TiVo has the best user interface and always will be. Dish Network is almost up, not in the search capabilities. DirecTV DVR entered the game late and DVR hell because they have broken the agreement partnership with TiVo.
