anyone think flow should just go out of business ??anyone have direct tv ?

blasted people turn off the cable since last week ….no notification nothing like that when i call a few times after then someone explain they converting to digital and they stopped the analog in my street …..and no one can come out until the 14th feb to do the conversion …….i complain all how and all they keep saying is dont worry they wont charge for the days we didnt have cable ……but i still think thats pathetic customer service …….anyone have direct tv ? is it good ?

same shitty service, but at least you learn Spanish or better do.

Direct TV question…

My sister had direct tv she moved and left her dish. I moved into her old place and my mother has 4 direct tv receivers in her house. She has offered to give me one so I dont have the monthly bill coming in. My question is will I be able to purchase PPV movies and events with that receiver even though its on a different dish? I know for sure I can watch regular tv.

Sure, the receiver doesn’t know where it is physically. As long as the dish antenna is aimed to the proper satellites and the account for that receiver is paid in full, it should work. You will probably need a phone line attached to the receiver for purchase PPV.

Remember, the satellites use spot beams that cover geographic areas for local stations. So, if you are not in the same city/state as you mom, the locals may not work. But all the national stuff should be OK.

can split the signal from Direct TV satellite box and split into two 2-way TV splitter satellite?

I used to do signal cable has three television channels a cable box with a 3-way splitter. is possible that I'll be watching the same TV channel and can be operated both by remote control from a single source TV. Yes, you can divide and do not need a special satellite distribution, as long as separated from the box. Only basic cable splitter work. Once the signal has passed through the receiver, just a regular TV input – if it came from cable, antenna or satellite – it does not matter. In addition, if there was another box, you can use a special satellite splitter (Called a switch multi-) to split the signal from the antenna before the box. You do not need a dual-head antenna as described above is not right (although more likely to have an apartment with two heads and – for reasons totally independent).
