i want to install direct tv in my apartment ?

the land lord said i can have it as long as it will not be drilled in the wall but fcc law says that “dish” antenna that is one meter (39.37″) or less in diameter (or any size dish if located in Alaska) and is designed to receive direct broadcast satellite service, including direct-to-home satellite service, or to receive or transmit fixed wireless signals via satellite.
so does that mean i can go ahead and install it and tell the land lord can go f her self

there’s a law (sorry i don’t have any reference) that states that all landlords HAVE to allow their tenants to choose whether they want satellite or cable. therefore, they HAVE to let you have satellite if you want. otherwise, this would be an unfair advantage for cable companies, forcing apartment dwellers to get THEIR service.

there exist tripods that dishes can sit on, therefore not requiring any drilling into apartment surfaces. you can also use the classic cement in a bucket with a pole. i’d recommend the tripod.

the reason i know this is because i’ve been an installer for dish network for the past four years, and the law states that they HAVE to let you have satellite if you want it
