Trying to connect my laptop Toshiba Satellite Philips LCD TV?

Ok, I've been at this for three days. I am a PC technician, so I tried all the bases. My laptop has VGA and S-Video. I am not satisfied with the quality of S-video and my TV only has HDMI (not DVI) and high-definition components. I bought a VGA to Component (RGB) cable. I combed through the Web trying to get some information about it. The native resolution of 1366×768 my TV to us. Of course, this resolution is not one of the selections adapter for my Intel 945GM.
