TV on the PC, TVon demand, video on demand?

I've been looking online lately an alternative to Cable TV / sky. I thought you subscribe to a sort of TV or film demand in the service of demand. I found a site that aims to satellite channels for 3000 £ 40 ish. There are plenty of sites out there and I realize that some of them are scams. I also found some comments on the topic and they all seem to think that There are two sites that use the value. I see it is: The http://tvtopcdirect.com/ My problem is that all the comments I read are very similar, which makes me think that probably are scams themselves, and may have been posted by people selling the service. My question is, has anyone used one of these services before? Can anyone recommend one? anyone know of a notice of trust (of which type or someone)? any other information would be too big! Thanks pour votre aide. BC

How to create a personal video recorder without monthly fees? "

I say why pay a TiVo or cable company or a a satellite using a personal video recorder, after all, is only a piece of software clock that records data on a hard disk. Just asking for TV listings, connect a computer at home and find the right software for the time of the purchase cost (something cheap as $ 50, not 300-500 TiVo / ReplayTV receivable).

Easy, SnapStream, or I think now called BeyondTV, wrote an article on this subject in 2002 tomsnetworking.com, great article: http://www.tomsnetworking.com/network/20020423/ A little more than $ 50, $ 69.99, but not bad. If you do not have a TV tuner card for your PC, then get the package that comes with it. I'm not sure but I think XP Media Edition PC software already built similar too.
